In late 2021 we were contacted by Eltham Escape Rooms who had a popular Temple themed game reaching a point where it would need substantial repairs to keep going, and were looking for a completely new experience along a similar theme.
After a site visit and meeting the guys who run the rooms, we started by creating a 16 page document with ideas for puzzles and an over arching storyline.
This developed over a few versions, in between design meetings then concept illustrations were created to start generating ideas for the look and feel of the rooms.
Once the concept for the games, story and theming styles was agreed we created a full 3D model of the experience with a full visual design for the experience.
By starting with the model we were able to make the best possible use of the space which was limited, and also to use what was previously a dead space to create a crawl through element to the experience.
We upped our 3D printing game to create some unique props such as skull keys and puzzle pieces all with hidden sensors inside for seamless interactivity.
This was great fun, with so many different and bespoke elements and a key feature was the large stone doors which would come apart and reveal the hidden tomb within.
